Wiring The Download Cables
The Diagrams below show you how to wire the download cable for use with your PAT Tester.
The Fluke and Seaward Supernova testers seem to use a 'Null Modem' serial cable.
The Metrel and Transmille Pat test machines all seem to use a straight through cable.
The Megger PAT4 has its own proprietary cable which is unique.
NOTE!
YOU MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO YOUR PAT TESTER OR COMPUTER IF YOU USE THE WRONG DOWNLOAD CABLE!
The tables show the wiring of the PINs in a 9pin to 9pin cable. Male end connecting to the PAT and Female end connecting to the PC.
